Callum's fantastic football success

Callum-Pilkington-Liverpool

Talented teenager Callum Pilkington has been chosen to play football for Liverpool FC's U15's team and is also attending an England U16's training camp in August.

Fourteen year old Callum was one of thirty eight boys chosen for the training camp from thousands of young hopefuls throughout the UK. He will continue to train with the England U16's and will take play in matches alongside his team mates. This is a massive achievement and demonstrates his skill and potential to realise his footballing ambitions.

The young centre-forward was spotted by the premiership team's talent scout whilst he was playing for Bradford City FC. Callum was invited to take part in a six week trial, training sessions and matches with the club's U15 team which resulted in his signing for Liverpool.

Callum began playing football for the U10's team at Bradford and has enjoyed being a member of their U14s team. He scored over 40 goals last season and played nine games for Liverpool.

He's looking forward to scoring even more goals this season at Anfield as he takes part in their organised fixtures against other premiership teams.

Callum said: "I'm really looking forward to moving across to Liverpool so that I can train more often and concentrate on developing my footballing skills even further. I can't believe this is happening and I'm excited about my future with Liverpool FC". I'd like to thank all the staff and my friends at Brigshaw for their support and I'll keep in touch".

Sadly, we have to say goodbye to Callum who leaves Brigshaw at the end of term but we'd like to wish him every success and will watch his career develop with much interest.

Good luck Callum,
from everyone at Brigshaw.
