Boulogne était magnifique!
Dear Diary,
We set off at 12:30am on Friday morning. We were all very sleepy but excited about our trip to France! We took the 6.30am ferry from Dover to Calais and travelled to the sea life centre at 9am. Before we went to the sea life centre we went to the park; we had loads of photos taken as a group! The sea life centre was amazing and we saw lots of interesting creatures. We had the opportunity to stroke lots of different fish including some rays which felt smooth and velvety!
After the sea life centre we went and looked around the old part of Boulogne and we bought some dinner. Then we travelled to the hotel and got told what rooms we were in. We had loads of spare time so we stayed in our rooms or went downstairs to the bar and played pool or "table foosball"! Then we unpacked and went for our dinner; we had melon and bread for starter, kebabs and chips for main and an ice cream for pudding. After dinner we had a huge quiz and Mrs Flanagan's team won!
The next day we visited a theme park and went on loads of rides! We stayed there for a couple of hours and then we went to a chocolaterie where we bought some chocolate for ourselves and for others! Because it was getting late, we went back to the hotel. For dinner that night, we had tomatoes and meat slices for appetiser, macaroni and chicken for main and yoghurts for dessert! After dinner we had a talent show and a "multi-talented" young boy called Frank Harris won!
Unfortunately, we had to go home on Sunday at 9:30am. We had a short coach ride to the ferry then a bit of a longer one (5 hours!) home. We all want to go back as we really enjoyed our stay!
